NWA Fall Activities

Northwest Arkansas is one of the prettiest locations in the south, and the fall season only amplifies that. The crisp air, clear days and bright colors of autumn are on full display, and there are many ways to enjoy these things out and about in NWA.

Going for a drive – Sometimes, students just need to get off campus and take a moment to relax, and driving through the NWA countryside on a sunny fall day is the perfect time to do that. Catching a glimpse of the fall scenery either by yourself or in a car full of friends can be the perfect way to spend a weekend, even if you don’t have a destination.

Autumn Farmers Markets – The people of NWA take full advantage of the cooler weather and harvest time. There are over a dozen sprawling farmers markets in Fayetteville, Rogers, Siloam Springs, Bentonville and more. These markets feature home-grown fruits and veggies, homemade treats, and plenty of other fun activities and foods to enjoy.

Shopping – For many, the start of fall is when the shopping season begins. Christmas is just around the corner, and it’s never too early to start enjoying the special deals that fall brings. Shopping centers like the Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville or the Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers are perfect for getting your retail therapy in.

Hiking – Autumn is the perfect time for getting outside, especially with winter right around the corner. The weather is perfect during this time for hiking, and NWA has the perfect trails to do just that. Some popular trails include Coler Mountain Bike Preserve in Bentonville, Mt. Sequoyah Woods Trail in Fayetteville, and Slaughter Pen Trail in Bentonville.

Regardless of how you celebrate the changing of the seasons, Northwest Arkansas has you covered with a variety of wonderful activities.
